Six youth are facing charges after heavy vandalism to the Sandy Bay hall late last week.
RCMP say they responded to an alarm at the Gary Morin Memorial Hall early Friday morning.
When they arrived, they could see four people running away from the building — including one who was carrying a Canadian flag and a flagpole that had been taken from inside the hall.
Police were able to arrest one individual on the scene and later determined a total of six youth were involved in the incident.
Police say significant damage was done to equipment inside the hall. A TV, video camera and other equipment had been thrown and smashed.
All the youth allegedly involved have been arrested and face charges of break and enter and mischief over $5,000.
Two of the youth were remanded into custody to appear in Pelican Narrows Provincial Court on Tuesday.
The remaining four suspects were released with a promise to appear in Sandy Bay Provincial Court on July 9.
