A charge of dangerous driving causing death has been laid after a Saskatchewan man was killed while riding an all-terrain vehicle which had allegedly been stolen.
RCMP say Brandon Cote, an 18-year-old Cote First Nation resident, died at the scene when the crash happened early Wednesday morning in Kamsack.
Police say he and two other males had been on the ATV, which an off-duty officer had noticed being driven erratically before the accident.
One of the other riders approached the officer soon after and said one of the passengers had been seriously injured.
Mounties later found that the machine had allegedly been taken from a property near Madge Lake.
Kaylon Tourngeau-Genaille, who is 18, is facing four other charges, including theft of a motor vehicle, and will return to court July 14 in Canora.
