English River Holds Vote on Proposed Reserve

Members of the English River First Nation are voting today on whether to turn some band property just south of Saskatoon into a reserve.

The band is hoping to develop a hotel, a truck stop and a strip mall on the 140 acres of land it owns in the Grasswoods area.

The First Nation already owns a gas station on the property.

The band needs a simple majority of band members to vote in favour of the move in today’s referendum in order to go ahead.
