Residents of more northern communities are being allowed to return home today.

Lac La Ronge Indian Band Chief Tammy Cook-Searson says the evacuation order has also been lifted for Sucker River.

The Chief says areas around Hall Lake, Clam Lake Bridge and Sikichu Lake are a priority today for Wildfire Management and getting residents of the these communities back home is a main concern.

Buses with evacuees from Prince Albert, Saskatoon and Cold Lake, Alberta rare scheduled to start arriving at the JRMCC far reserve today.

Sierzycki says the various services in the town will be returning over the next few days, with a priority on health services.

The mayor says the town will continue working with the provincial and federal governments to ensure people and businesses who were financially affected receive any support that may be available.

The Town of La Ronge will also be crediting July’s utility bills to help families who have felt the economic ramifications of this crisis.
