La Ronge Medical Clinic is almost ready to take in clients, months after a fire hit and and damaged the clinic and pharmacy.
Repairs to the smoke damage are complete on the clinic, but it won’t reopen until Monday, August 17.
Clinic services have been offered out of the La Ronge Health Centre since late May.
Over the next few days, staff is moving back into the clinic location on La Ronge Avenue.
The transition to the old space will lead to limited appointments on Friday. Walk-in appointments at the Health Centre will only be taken from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. that, the Mamawetan Churchill River Health Region and Northern Medical Services wrote in a news release.
The reopening will likely be a relief to La Ronge residents. For months, the clinic’s capacity was limited and people were urged to contact the HealthLine at 811 before going to the clinic.
Harbour Pharmacy won’t be reopening until the fall.
