A University of Saskatchewan research team plans to meet with community members in the Town of La Ronge and with band members from the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.
Tonight, the meeting for the town will take place at the Kikinahk Friendship Centre at 5:15 p.m.
Project manager Joelena Leader says the purpose of the meeting is to find out what the economic situation is like in northern Saskatchewan.
“We kind of want to hear from community members what challenges, as well as successes, are happening in terms of entrepreneurship and economic development and business development — as well as looking at youth and challenges,” she says.
On Thursday evening at 5:15 p.m., the research team will host a meeting at the Kitsaki Hall on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.
