***UPDATE – RCMP say they received a complaint of shots fired at a residence in Meadow Lake this morning. When Mounties arrived, they found two dead men outside the residence. The RCMP say there is NO risk to public safety. Details are still limited. The RCMP’s Major Crimes North unit will be assisting Meadow Lake RCMP in the investigation.
Meadow Lake RCMP are asking members of the public to stay away from barricades which were set up the community this morning.
At around 10 a.m., police received a call about a firearm being discharged at a home in the community.
Investigators say, as a result, there is an increased police presence.
Anyone in Meadow Lake is asked to respect all police barricades and police directions as the investigation continues.
Police say there is no risk to public safety and more information on the situation will be released later today.
