Two men from northern Saskatchewan First Nations died from exposure in two separate incidents over the weekend.

The body of 56-year-old Thomas Chief of the Island Lake First Nation was found by family members outside the back door of his home Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, the search for a missing man from the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation ended on a sad note.

Family members of 28-year-old Travis Cantell located his body early Sunday morning in a wooded area about 3 kilometres from his home.

Cantell had last been seen alive Thursday when he left his home to walk to nearby Highway 699.

Foul play is not suspected in either case.
