While southeast Saskatchewan deals with flooding a highway in northern Saskatchewan was washed out because of the rain.
The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure says Highway 165 is closed after rain washed out a culvert.
The Ministry was notified of the situation by the RCMP after a vehicle had driven into the washout.
No one was hurt in the incident.
The road had been checked on Friday and was safe at that time.
Saskatchewan Highways is currently assessing the damage from the washout and making arrangements to repair the road as quickly as possible.
Crews have begun work on replacing two culverts along the highway and are hoping to have the roadway re-opened by the end of the week, weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to use detours via Highway 912, 913 and 106 and to check the Highway Hotline before heading out.
