A 30-year-old man from the Muskoday First Nation was killed in a vehicle-pedestrian collision Tuesday night.
The RCMP says it happened at around 11:30 p.m. when the man was walking along Highway 2, south of the turnoff to Red Wing.
He was struck by a southbound SUV, and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the man walked out of the ditch and onto the highway, but was not seen by the driver of the SUV and was subsequently hit by the vehicle.
Mounties say the 34-year-old woman driving the vehicle immediately stopped at the scene.
No charges have been laid, but the incident is still under investigation.
