Prince Albert has announced plans to get residents and businesses back to normal water consumption.
This comes after restrictions were put in place well over a week ago, related to contamination from the Husky oil spill.
Prince Albert restaurants can serve tap water. Car washes, laundromats and other businesses can start using water, effective immediately. However, civic facilities are still restricted.
Residents will be able to water lawns, fill pools and do other activities on an alternating basis through to the end of the month. The homes will be divided based on odd and even house numbers.
The City of Prince Albert says they’re working to get surrounding Rural Municipalities back onto the water supply, but hasn’t announced a timeline for that.
The City’s state of emergency continues after it was renewed on Sunday.
