Several agencies continue to investigate a recreational camper trailer fire that claimed two lives on the Montreal Lake Cree Nation last week.

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries early Friday morning after the trailer became fully engulfed in flames.

Initially, it wasn’t known if any other people were inside the structure — but over the weekend, RCMP confirmed the remains of an adult and a child were found in the burned-out trailer.

Autopsies are scheduled for this week in Saskatoon.

RCMP have not identified the victims.

Meanwhile, the injured man has since been released from hospital.

Waskesiu RCMP, the RCMP Fire Scene Examiner, a coroner and Emergency Management and Fire Safety are all involved in the investigation.
