Campbell Seeking Re-Election In Buffalo River

The longtime chief of the Buffalo River Dene Nation will face two challengers in his bid for re-election.

Elmer Campbell has been the chief in Dillon for the past 11 years.

He was nominated for another term in office yesterday, along with challengers Louis Chanalquay and Freddie Billette.

Chanalquay is currently a band councillor, while Billette works for the local healing foundation.

The chief and council election in Buffalo River takes place on February 28th.
