Most of the major power outages caused by the weekend snowstorms in Saskatchewan have now been repaired, but work continues on a few downed power lines.
The largest community affected was Meadow Lake and except for some parts of the town, the power was back this morning.
SaskPower says crews have been working to remove trees which have fallen on some lines.
Another major outage was reported at Waterhen Lake First Nation, and crews there had to travel to the affected area by boat and on foot to do repairs.
Electricity was restored to Dillon and St George’s Hill this morning.
SaskPower spokesperson Heather Dawson says anyone wondering if their power outage has been reported should contact SaskPower at 310-2220.
Dawson adds there are still a number of small, isolated areas where pockets of outages are occurring.
Updates are also posted throughout the day on the SaskPower Twitter feed.
Meanwhile, the reserve communities of Big Island Lake, Ministikwan and Makwa have had their SaskTel services restored this morning.
Those communities and others were forced to make do without land line, cell and Internet services since yesterday afternoon.
