There were almost 11,000 fewer people working in Saskatchewan last month compared to a year ago.

The latest jobless figures put the province’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate at 6.9 per cent, which is up a tenth of a per cent from September.

The national jobless rate was 6.3 per cent last month.

The First Nations unemployment rate in Saskatchewan was 19.7 per cent, which is down two per cent.

The Metis unemployment was 10.1 per cent, which was unchanged from September.
