An accident is being blamed for a major power outage which hit northern Saskatchewan early this morning.
In some areas the power went out around 12:30 a.m.
At one point, areas impacted included Waskesui, Montreal Lake and Weyakwin north to La Ronge, Missinipe and Stanley Mission.
Crews were sent out and started restoring the electricity to some areas around 2:30 am.
Other areas further north, including La Ronge were back online before 5:00 am this morning.
SaskPower is now reporting that power has been restored to all of those areas.
So far, no details have been released on what kind of accident caused the outage.
A precautionary boil water advisory is now in effect until further notice for the La Ronge area, including the Village of Air Ronge.
