Marcel Marin of Yellowknife/Saint James came across the line in La Ronge first in the eight-dog event of the Canadian Challenge Sled Dog Race.
Anna Bolvin of Porcupine Plain, SK finished in second, while Jillian Lawton of Rocky Mountain House, AB claimed third spot.
The 12-dog race continues today. It’s expected that a winner will cross the line this afternoon.
