UPDATE: At 6:20 p.m. on March 3, Meadow Lake RCMP issued a release saying, with the help of Big River RCMP, they were able to act on a tip and have several plainclothes members in place to arrest Dennis Yew in the morning of March 3 without incident on Whitefish First Nation.
Mounties extended their thanks to the public for helping to locate Yew.
Mounties in Meadow Lake are asking for the public’s help in finding a prime suspect for a series of crimes in the area.
Dennis Brian Yew faces charges of assault and failing to comply with conditions, and the RCMP says he is suspected of several property crimes in the area. He has outstanding charges in other detachments as well.
The 42-year-old Aboriginal male also goes by his middle name, and the RCMP is asking people not to approach him if they see him as Yew is known to be violent.
People can contact the Meadow Lake Detachment or Crimestoppers if they have any information on Yew’s whereabouts.
