A Sucker River woman charged with manslaughter is now committed to stand trial in relation to the late 2015 death of Howard Roberts.

Roberts, a Montreal Lake man who was 51 in November of 2015, was found deceased in a Sucker River home after police received an early morning call to respond to a sudden death.

Shawna Finlayson, now 28, was arrested the next day and was granted bail the following month.

She went through a series preliminary hearing dates in La Ronge between late last year and the end of March.

The case is being transferred to Prince Albert’s Court of Queen’s Bench as it moves into the pretrial phase.

Neither pretrial or trial dates have been set yet.

Trial dates will be set if a resolution is not found during pretrial
