Evacuated residents from Pelican Narrows and Sandy Bay are being told to keep their receipts.

A team of SGI adjusters will be making sure evacuees are reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses while they are away from home.

SGI is also providing a break on home and vehicle insurance, saying they will still honour them even if they lapse during the period of the evacuation.

There are three fires burning in the area, the largest is now 630 square kilometres. A change in weather and wind is desperately needed to dramatically improve the situation. Cooler temperatures are on the way.

All three fires are listed as stable today. Wildfire management and emergency management will be providing up update later this morning.

More than 2,400 people have left their homes since last Tuesday.
