The Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business has certified SaskPower with gold status for Aboriginal relations. It is the highest rating, recognizing the corporation as a good business partner and a great place to work.
“The certification is a reflection of the corporation’s commitment to a strong and collaborative relationship with Saskatchewan’s Aboriginal businesses and communities,” said SaskPower President, Mike Marsh.
Marsh says SaskPower has made great strides in bringing new Aboriginal business into its supply chain.
Spending on Aboriginal procurement has increased from $25 million in 2015 to $56 million for the last fiscal year.
