Date Announced For Hall Lake Byelection

Band members in Hall Lake are being invited to attend a vote recount in the community this Friday.
Chief electoral officer Charles Whitecap will hand count all of the ballots cast in the recent Lac La Ronge Indian Band election for council candidates Samson Ratt and Leonard Halkett.
Halkett was declared the winner after the initial vote, but Ratt challenged the results in an appeal hearing last week.
The recount will include ballots that had previously been declared spoiled.
Whitecap says everyone in the community is welcome to attend.
The recount will be held at the Charles Halkett Memorial Hall, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
