More Northerners Become Housing Managers

Five northern residents graduated yesterday from the province’s Social Housing Management Training Program.

Robert Desjarlais of Ile-a-la-Crosse, Judy Robertson and Grace Janvier of La Loche, Jenny Laliberte of Beauval and Richard Thommes of Cumberland House are all working within their respective community housing authorities.

A total of 18 northern students have now graduated from the program since its inception.

Minister responsible Joanne Crawford says training northern people as property managers means their knowledge and expertise can be used to help meet the housing needs of locals.
