A task force that’s reviewing some of the issues currently plaguing the First Nations University of Canada held its first organizational meeting on Friday.
The university is reporting that the meeting focused on identifying areas of concern, documents that will have to be obtained and how to consult with affected groups and individuals.
Provincial court judge Mary-Ellen Turpel Lafond was not in attendance at Friday’s meeting.
She was named to the task force last month, but later revealed that the university hadn’t received the proper consent to appoint her.
