Teen Girl Dies After Fatal ATV Crash in Air Ronge

La Ronge RCMP are continuing to investigate a fatal ATV crash which occurred over the weekend.

At approximately 4 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the scene, where it appeared the victim had crashed while driving an all-terrain-vehicle in the northern town of Air Ronge.

The 16 year old girl was pronounced dead at the scene. RCMP officials say she was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing as officers are trying to determine if other factors played a role in the accident.

The name of the deceased will not be released until after the notification of family members.
