Cumberland House Water Levels Expected To Rise

A huge downpour of water in western Saskatchewan and Alberta will be felt in the North — but not as extensively as it will be in southern Saskatchewan.
Saskatchewan Watershed Authority spokesman Doug Johnson says residents along the Saskatchewan River should notice a significant rise in water levels over the next few weeks.
Johnson says people in Cumberland House shouldn’t notice any spills, but the nearby lakes and rivers will be high.
Meanwhile, the North Saskatchewan River near Prince Albert could rise by as much as 4.5 feet in the next week.
However, this weekend’s rainfall is not anticipated to affect water levels further north.
Flows at Sandy Bay peaked on September 7th and have dropped two inches since then.
