The former chief of staff for the Athabasca Health Authority has relocated to southern Saskatchewan.

Dr. Faisal Raja began his new posting in Tisdale last week.

A spokesman for the Athabasca health region says his position was filled by an existing staff member, adding Raja will be missed.

It’s believed family considerations were at the root of Raja’s decision to move to Tisdale. His family lives in Prince Albert.

Raja practiced medicine in Stony Rapids for approximately one year.
