Victims Services programs will soon be established in Stony Rapids and Black Lake.

Justice Minister Frank Quennell announced annual funding of $70,000 today.

The programs offer help and support to victims of crimes or traumatic events immediately after the crime and throughout the criminal justice process.

Quennell is visiting several northern communities this week, particularly in the Far North, to discuss justice issues with community justice stakeholders.

Quennell’s stops will include Black Lake, Stony Rapids, Wollaston Lake and La Ronge.
