A man accused of assaulting four former workers at the province’s forest fire control centre is back testifying in court today.

Murdoch Carriere is fighting allegations he groped four women during his time as director of forest fire management.

In Court of Queen’s Bench yesterday, he took the stand in his own defence, talking about his early years in Cumberland House.

Carriere says he comes from an affectionate family where kissing is commonplace and hugs are used as greetings.

Today, he has testified he used to frequently massage his employees, but not in a sexual manner.

The Crown is scheduled to cross-examine Carriere during today’s proceedings.
