Recount Goes Into Late Evening

A judicial recount in Prince Albert stretched well into the evening hours last night.

However, Madame Justice A.R. Rotherary still has not finished hearing arguments relating to which disputed votes will be allowed to stand.

Lawyers for Gary Merasty and Jeremy Harrison are staying tight-lipped about the recount and who may possibly be ahead. However, Jonathon Dennis, an attorney for Harrison, says he believes the matter will wrap up today.

Clerks from Elections Canada have apparently finished their count of the ballots themselves.

The case began again this morning at Court of Queen’s Bench.
