RCMP Investigating Homicide On Northern Reserve

A 36-year-old man from the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation facing a second-degree murder charge makes a court appearance today in Meadow Lake.
The man was charged following the death of a 32-year-old man on the reserve early Saturday morning.
The Mounties say they responded to a report of a possible gunshot at a reserve residence at around 2:15 am Saturday.
The victim’s body was discovered outside the residence with an apparent gunshot wound.
Names have not been released.
Loon Lake RCMP are being assisted in this investigation by the RCMP’s Major Crimes unit out of Saskatoon and the Forensic Identification section from Lloydminster.
