Two northern schools will get help to replace their roofs and 5 teacherages will be built in an effort to attract and retain teachers in the north.
The province is investing over half a million dollars to build teacherages in Ile-a-la-crosse, Stoney Rapids, Pinehouse, and Beauval, and fund roof replacements in Cumberland House and La Ronge.
The provincial government has committed well over $589,000 to the projects, which will be cost-shared with the school divisions involved.
The total government funding commitment for kindergarten to grade 12 capital projects this fiscal year is estimated at $22 million.
