Diamond Mining Company Wins Court Battle

A mining company looking for diamonds near the James Smith reserve has won a court battle.

Shore Gold announced yesterday that a judge has dismissed an appeal against it by Debeers.

The international diamond-supplier had complained Shore Gold held an improper voting arrangement with Cameco.

Right now Shore Gold controls 42% interest in the Fort A’ La Corne diamond site while Cameco controls 15%.

The two recently agreed to vote together on certain issues and that was what angered Debeers.
