RCMP have made several arrests in relation to suspected gang activity and a long-term investigation into drug trafficking on the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.
Loon Lake RCMP focused their investigation into drug trafficking on a residence on the reserve.
Fifty-one-year-old Beverly Chief pleaded guilty to trafficking cocaine in Meadow Lake Court of Queen’s Bench Thursday.
Chief remains in custody and will be sentenced in Meadow Lake in August.
In a separate investigation, Loon Lake Mounties say they searched several houses at Makwa Sahgaiehcan and made multiple arrests related to suspected gang activity.
Three men and a woman are facing several firearms and weapons charges.
