Lawyers for a Fond du Lac hunter appeared on his behalf in a North West Territories courtroom Wednesday.
Lawrence Adam, faces one hundred and seventy-three
offenses under the wildlife act, stemming from his practises as a trapper and hunter north of 60.
Adam is accused of using big-game animals, ones
that are fit for human consumption, as bait.
Adam’s lawyer Peter Abramitz-Senior says the case against his client is a clear matter of government overkill, noting the practise has been done for centuries.
The case has been set aside until November.
