City Councillor Named FSIN’s Citizen Of The Year

The First Nations community in Saskatchewan honoured its best and brightest last night in Prince Albert at the annual Circle of Honour Awards.

 

Among the highlights, Sweetgrass First Nation member Ray Fox was named the Citizen of the Year.

 

Fox is currently a city councillor in North Battleford.

 

Meanwhile, Senator Roland Crowe of the Piapot First Nation was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award.

 

Crowe is a former chief of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations.

 

A total of 27 awards were presented last night in areas such as education, justice and community and social development.
