Saskatchewan’s Aboriginal unemployment rate rose from July to August.
Newly released figures from the Bureau of Statistics say the rate is up almost a full percentage point to 16.5 percent.
The unemployment rate for First Nations workers climbed three percent to just over 24.
Métis employees saw a decrease from 12.3 to 11.5 percent.
Stats indicate that there are approximately 55,500 Aboriginal workers in the labour force, with 46,400 working.
The provincial unemployment rate rose point one percent to sit a 6.7 percent.
