Two women are facing charges after being stopped by RCMP in the Pelican Narrows area.

The vehicle was pulled over for a traffic violation on Tuesday afternoon. Police say the women in the vehicle were known to purchase alcohol and re-sell it for a profit.

Investigators say eight 66-ounce bottles of whiskey and one 66-ounce bottle of vodka were found in the vehicle.

The suspects were charged under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act.

Mounties say if it had been sold in Pelican narrows, the profit would have been about $900.
