A trio of La Ronge Ice Wolves have been recognized for their strong play.
Ice Wolves forward Daunte Fortner is the SJHL Rookie of the Week. In his last four games, the Michigan product has recorded five points. In 29 contests this season, Fortner has 16 points.
La Ronge forward Zach Bannister is the runner-up for player of the week honours. Bannister has tallied seven points in his last four games. Through 37 games this season, the Grande Prairie, AB product has 45 points, which has him sitting in eighth in SJHL scoring.
Meantime, Ice Wolves defenceman Antonio Di Paolo is the SJHL Defenceman of the Month. The Saskatoon, SK product has 26 points in 34 games this season.
The La Ronge Ice Wolves get back into the swing of things on Friday when they welcome the Kindersley Klippers to the Mel Hegland Uniplex for a 7:30 p.m. puck drop.
The Ice Wolves are 2-2 since the Christmas break and they will be looking to rebound after a 5-0 loss in Kindersley on Saturday night.
