A Cessna 310 had to make an emergency landing at the La Ronge airport yesterday.

According to La Ronge fire chief Ron Pratt, the distress call was issued at around 5:00 p.m.

Pratt says the pilot reported problems with the landing gear on the nose of the plane while attempting to land.

The nose gear did end up partially collapsing, but Pratt says the pilot did a good job of landing the craft safely.

There were 2 passengers on board, in addition to the pilot, but no one was hurt.

The plane sustained some minor damage.
