The leader of the Metis National Council says his group has entered into a major health agreement with Ottawa.
Clem Chartier says the multi-million dollar four-year project will allow the MNC to use human resources development money on Metis training. The funds would then be matched by Health Canada.
Chartier says the deal is a bright spot in a sea of murky waters.
Chartier says the deal essentially gives the Metis National Council added resources in training their own people as doctors and nurses.
