More people in the La Ronge area will soon have access to affordable housing.

The provincial and federal governments are investing in 12 new social rental units for low-income seniors.

Over $2.6 million is going to the new seniors’ housing project in La Ronge called Spruce Manor.

Rent at Spruce Manor will be based on a tenant’s income and four of the units have been created for all ability levels.

Spruce Manor consists of two buildings that will be managed by the La Ronge Regional Housing Authority.

The federal funding is part of the Trudeau government’s $40 billion National Housing Strategy.
