La Loche Center Receives National Housing Award

Canada’s Mortgage and Housing Corporation has bestowed an honor upon a northern project.

This week it was announced that the Dene Empowerment Centre in La Loche has received a national award for affordable housing.

The centre provides transitional housing for high-risk single parent householders. It features seven apartments, a classroom, offices and daycare.
