Beardy’s Reserve Honors Rememberance Day

The Beardy’s and Okemasis First Nation will be the sight of a special service for veteran’s tomorrow morning.
Band member and former peace-time vet Hilliard Gardypie says Remembrance Day is an extremely special day on his reserve.
He says Beardy’s has a large number of veterans and present-day soldiers in its midst, and November the 11th is always a time to reflect on their sacrifice.
Gardypie says he believes the war in Afghanistan is causing people to take Remembrance Day more seriously than they usually do.
