Hudson Bay Man Dies In Snowmobile Accident

RCMP in Hudson Bay are investigating a fatal snowmobile accident which claimed the life of a local resident.

Mounties say they were informed of the incident yesterday afternoon, but believe the accident may have happened on Wednesday.

The 61 year old man went snowmobiling in the afternoon or evening of Wednesday and the man’s body was found pinned under his machine in a ditch off a gravel road about 16 kilometers south of the community.

An autopsy is being preformed and the investigation is ongoing.

The name of the deceased will not be released pending notification of next of kin.
