Band Workers Discuss Residential School Payments

Approximately 300 workers from band offices around the province are in Saskatoon this week for a conference on the Residential School Compensation Agreement.

The meeting is being held to provide workers with knowledge on where the process currently lies and how to answer questions from survivors.

A lawyer connected to the settlement says full payments for survivors should begin in July or August.

The conference is covering topics like elder safety, banking information, and wills and estates.
