The disappearance of 22-year-old Jenaya Mary Wapemoose is being considered as suspicious.

Wapemoose was reported missing to the Regina Police on May 7.  A family member reported last seeing her in person on March 10 and it’s believed others had contact with her as recently as March 27.

“This case is considered suspicious, based on the evidence gathered in the extensive investigation of her disappearance. To date, Jenaya Wapemoose has not been located,” said a statement from Regina Police.

The Cowessess First Nation woman was the subject of a search in the city on May 18, as approximately 75 people volunteered.

“My niece, Jenaya Wapemoose, hasn’t contacted the family, hasn’t been on Facebook and her activities stopped on April 7 and that was the last time she was seen in Regina,” Debbie Delormes, Wapemoose’s aunt explained following the search. “[She] didn’t show up for Easter Dinner, wasn’t around for Mother’s Day and missed her little girl’s birthday.”

Wapemoose was last seen in the areas of the 1800 block of Ottawa Street and 12 block of Retallack Street in Regina.

She is described as 5’ 4”, 130 lbs, with a thin build, shoulder-length light brown wavy hair and brown eyes. Noticeable markings include a tattoo of stars on her neck.

Anyone with information on Jenaya Wapemoose’s whereabouts is asked to contact Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
