New School Board Election Wanted

One of the candidates from an education election held on the west-side last month is calling for a new vote.

Ray Laliberte ran in the Northern Lights School Division area 2 elections held in late October.

Voting took place in St.George’s Hill and in Buffalo Narrows. Laliberte lost by 5 votes but called for a recount.

He says it was revealed yesterday at the recount that 7 ballots were missing from their sealed boxes.

He says the Judge has reserved her decision on the matter, but he wants to see a new election and he told the returning officer that last night.

Laliberte says the facts are clear in the case and he only wants a fair shake.
