The Town of La Ronge has hired an outside organization to create what it is calling “a positive and professional environment” for an incoming chief administrative officer.
The town has been without an employee in the position since former CAO Stephen Conway quit levelling serious accusations of racism, homophobia and corruption against council in a detailed resignation letter in September 2018.
Council has never spoken publicly about Conway’s accusations.
The former CAO filed complaints about the alleged incidents with the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission, provincial government and RCMP.
A press release says La Ronge has hired HMC Management to assist in its recruitment of a new CAO.
The press release also says, “Council acknowledges that during the first three years of its term, there has been some difficulties in how they would like the CAO position to function within their organizational culture and structure…”
