The La Ronge Ice Wolves have traded 19-year-old defenceman Sebastien Archambault to the Melville Millionaires in exchange for a player development fee.
“I think it’s a good opportunity for Archie to head to Melville,” said Ice Wolves Head Coach and GM Kevin Kaminski. “He’s a 19-year-old, he’s big, strong, physical and has a good first pass. His work ethic is awesome, so hopefully he can go there and make a statement.”
In 15 games this season with the Ice Wolves, Archambault had one assist and 12 penalty minutes. In September, the Salmon Arm, B.C. product was acquired by the La Ronge Ice Wolves from the Humboldt Broncos in exchange for a player development fee.
Meantime, the Ice Wolves are back in action on Friday night in Nipawin when they take on the Hawks. The Ice Wolves have recorded points in 10 straight games and currently sit in fourth in the league standings with their 22-14-5 mark. You can catch Friday’s tilt across the MBC Radio Network with Braden Malsbury. The pre-game show gets underway at 7:15 p.m.
The Ice Wolves will close out their weekend Saturday at the Mel Hegland Uniplex when they conclude the home-and-home series with the Nipawin Hawks.
